Rainfall varies greatly from region to region. The rain season is from October to March. Rainfall is rare from June to August, and days are dry and sunny, which is usual for a Mediterranean climate.
Winds in the Aegean Sea (from April to October)
During the summer months and especially between mid July and mid August, strong winds are common in the Aegean Sea. These winds are called "Meltemi" and blow from North/Northeast. "Meltemi" starts suddenly and can blow continuously for several days.
